• The Brigantia pure wool yarns

  Brigantia yarns are made from pure wool and are spun in Yorkshire from the finest whole fleece with a long staple, high lustre and pure white base. These qualities give a smooth, glossy yarn with clear colours, ideal for tapestry. The yarn is then dyed, treated with conditioners and gently dried in a flow of warm air to produce a full and soft finish.

  All our canvases are produced on world renowned Zweigart canvas to provide the quality that we know you expect. Each one is hand printed to achieve the very best in accuracy of design meeting the canvas. With our 5 and 7 hole canvas we can guarantee that every stitch will be printed with the correct colour leaving no need for guesswork.

This tapestry is worked in Cross stitch which means that it is always square and doesn't need to be straightened when finished. It also makes a frame unnecessary so that your tapestry can be carried in a bag to pass the time on long journeys. With 5 holes per inch this type of kit is quick to finish and also easy to work for a beginner. Needle and easy to follow instructions are supplied with every kit. This finer 7 hole per inch canvas is still easy to work in Cross stitch tapestry but enables us to produce more detailed designs. It also has the same benefits as the Quick Cross stitch tapestry such as not needing a frame or straightening when finished. The printing is still accurate to the stitch making our geometric designs guaranteed to be symmetrical and all our designs easy to work.

As they are worked in Cross Stitch tapestry on 5 holes per inch canvas they have the same speed and ease of working as our Quick Cross Stitch cushions. The accurately colour printed canvas ensures that the design will be a perfect match to the illustration when finished and our pure wool Brigantia Tapestry Yarn provides a luxurious texture to the finished rug.
